Filk Archive status

Just a news post, here since the site is currently down.

The site has migrated over to Dreamwidth since the site is currently down for reprogramming into a modern and more secure format. There is currently no ETA on the upgrade.

All data and songs are preserved and will be back online when it does come back online again.

I assume you mean the forum, community, whatever this is, is migrating to Dreamwidth, not the site itself. Perhaps you could give a recap on the role filkarchive.dreamwidth.org serves, for new people? I don't think I'd ever noticed it on LiveJournal, or if I had I've completely forgotten.

It got automated postings every time a song was added. But that hasn't happened for a long time now.

Correct. Only the LJ notification was transferred to here. The site will eventually be back online, once we get it coded.

I have not heard any, but I do know we have all had cases of life being busy. (I have a few songs I would like to put online when it does come back online.)

I will drop a note to the person who was handling that side to see if there is an update.
